What's the point of prayer?

Prayer isn’t merely voicing out a wish list or expressing your hopes. It’s communicating with God! When we pray, we are letting our Creator – the Lord of all that exists – hear our feelings. We invite Him to intervene in our situation. This all-powerful God says if He is on our side, nothing can stand against us! Give prayer a shot!

Why Pray For Others?

In this world there will be trouble. But everyone’s trouble is different. Some might be dealing with health or financial issues. Others with emotional or mental health concerns. Praying for others shows our care and compassion. We feel for others, and we want them to find breakthrough! And the best way to experience that is for them to see God helping or healing them!

If you prayed for someone and the prayer was answered, we celebrate with you! Share your story here.

Stories of Answered Prayers!

We met a couple and asked them the question, “Can I pray for you?”. They said yes and shared about their health condition. Then we told them about Jesus and they received Him into their life!

I went to the hawker centre and saw a lady with a cast on her hand. I had a speedy recovery from a similar wrist fracture four months ago! I asked her, “Can I pray for you?” She was very happy after I prayed.

I had a colleague who was very sad about her relationship. She was in the midst of a divorce. I asked her out for lunch, and at the end, I asked if I could pray for her. To my surprise, she agreed. When done, I opened my eyes and saw her crying. She said she felt a peace she hadn’t felt for a long time.

I prayed for a lady on a wheelchair. After I prayed, she stood up and walked around the room! I am overjoyed! We worship a living God who is mighty in power and full of mercy and love!

I was at the neighbourhood centre and I approached a lady to ask “Can I pray for you?” She told me about her daughter, who is now warded for depression, so I said a prayer of blessing over her. She was so thankful.

I met someone who’s been watching church services online since the pandemic. I invited him to join us in person, then asked if I could pray for him. By the end of the prayer, he was in tears!
